I bought this weighted blanket for my daughter who suffers from severe anxiety. She didn't take it out for a couple of weeks, and then the 4th of July came with fireworks. She and her dog were lying on the couch and continued to hear loud noises and they were both panting. She then decided to try it to see if it worked. She called me the next day and said she covered herself and the dog with a blanket and after a few minutes her heart stopped and the dog stopped panting. I never thought of using it on an overly excited dog, but apparently it works!
