I have a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox. We received 2 of these keys when we bought them. My car is also our most important family car, so my husband and I use the keys regularly. His key had recently issued it so I was very excited to find this online instead of shelling out a large sum at the dealer! There are several ways to program this key and get it working: To the dealer, but this will be very expensive. You can have it laser cut by a locksmith and program it yourself (only if you have an extra key that still works). Programming it yourself is very easy and there are many YouTube videos showing you how to do it. We used a different approach than the one described above. My husband is very smart so he disassembled both keys, took the chip from the new key and put it in his old key. This saves us the hassle of laser cutting so the only cost was a key fob. We've been using it ever since and it works great. I would only attempt this if you really know what you are doing. I bought this key at a discount in exchange for my review. I would buy back at full price if needed (hopefully not needed!) because it has worked great for us and saved us from wasting a ton at the dealer.
