I can't believe you can sell these things

Worst constructed piece of grunt I've ever had in my truck. It never seems to catch anything even though I squeeze the pan screw to tighten it. I have a 2005 GMC pickup, when in the raised position it shakes wildly and the phone blocks the view of the window. When the ball is upside down it hits the switch and the phone faces the cup holders on the floor, the screen is not visible. Maybe if I slam the door he'll stay somewhere

YOU put your phone in and press the sides together and they stay in place. There is a small button on the side that you press to release the sides and your phone will pop out.
