So I've been tattooing professionally for about 10 years. I started with Dragon Hawk many years ago and over the years have ventured into other machine and equipment manufacturers and returned to Dragon Hawk. The latest cars. I have and still use my original machine that I bought from Dragonhawk 10 years ago and it still works perfectly. That being said the machines are heavier than some other machines which is one of their downsides but the vibrations are low and they will last as I have tried and proved they will last. I've bought machines from other companies that have cost me over $200 that have run a few hours and burned out and they continue to work with the right care and attitude. The kitehawk is also trustworthy and growing. I remember when their reputation in the tattoo world wasn't as good as it is today and buying a kit was frowned upon, but now they've established themselves and are respected in the community. Just don't blame them if you can't create great art with this kit, it's the user not the kit so take lessons and learn from a real shop pro before you even touch another person's skin , because if that doesn't work well for you, then you need to learn how to do it right. The kit is fine with the ink you receive, the quantity and colors you receive are enough for you to work with the ink in this kit and make enough money to order higher quality ink (sorry dragon hawk). But these are vibrant colors that bleed through the nib easily and I had no problem with the ink staying on my clients. I had trouble with the old Dragon Hawks ink about 10 years ago and it's a huge improvement. Now they match Scream or Intense Ink and that says something about where they started. The only issues I have with this kit are honestly the body of the power supply is plastic not metal so it can harbor bacteria that causes infection and is harder to sterilize and the foot pedal isn't 100% Percent is designed for permanent contact. You also don't get two sizes of ink cups which means there isn't a smaller size as this will make you burn more ink so order larger ink cups and you don't have an ink cup holder so you have to order one of those too. Also, this is the best kit on Amazon for the price but always consult a professional before getting anyone tattooed.
