Therefore, you must drill absolutely evenly, otherwise the tips will snag on the drywall. It's not that bad if you're cutting drywall with a saw, but if you're standing on a ladder it's very tiring and a bit dangerous. You'll definitely need two hands on the drill, a very sturdy ladder, and a high-torque, low-speed cordless drill. shakes violently, spreading drywall dust all over you and the room. I use a saw to cut two 7.5" holes in the drywall and then two in the ceiling. On the 4th pass, the carbide tips were noticeably blunt and had bad burrs. The final cut took about 10 minutes to make through ยฝ inch drywall. The kit does not include additional carbide tips. The plastic cover is easily scratched by drywall debris, which also affects visibility. One of my cuts had ยผ inch thick wood paneling behind drywall and the blades couldn't cut through the wood. I had to use a jigsaw. Comes with a nice bag that fits everything. The set includes masonry and wood drill bits, a pencil and a very cheap measuring tape. There are size markings on the cutter to make it easier to adjust the hole size. There are no instructions included and everything is made in China. I would never want to use this ceiling tool again. In the future I will only use a hole saw.
