I bought this item for my mother who embroiders and complains of tired eyes. She likes it very much. The lens size is great and the bright light is a plus. The only problem is the lack of instructions - except for the sticker on the battery compartment. The diagrams on the Revain page and previous user comments helped a lot, but through trial and error I found the easiest way for Mom to open the battery compartment given the limited strength of her fingers. We found it easiest to place the magnifier on a flat surface with the battery compartment closest and the sticker facing up. Then she could press two thumbs into the indentations in the little silver buttons on top and use her thumbnails to lift the lid at the same time. All in all a very good product; but it would be more convenient if detailed instructions were attached.
