A good device would be worth 5 stars if it weren't for the stupid, inadequate installation instructions. There are a lot of bad reviews and advice here. I just wanted to install a simple keyless entry module and some aftermarket door lock actuators on my 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup that never had power door locks. One review says you need to install a separate relay module for this to work on vehicles that weren't factory fitted with power door locks. (NOT SO). So I bought one for ten bucks but found it in 2101L. Instructions that it will work with aftermarket actuators directly WITHOUT installing any relays. (The 2101 has its own relays on board that can draw 30 amps). The problem is that there are no diagrams of what connections need to be made for this. My wasted time figuring this out is to your advantage. If you just want to install one or more aftermarket actuators on a vehicle that has never had power door locks, here's how: Find, remove, and twist the same colors. In my case, I connected a green wire and a yellow wire to each of the drives on my two doors, making sure each color is connected to the same colored wire on each drive. Then (at the end of the module) I connected the green and yellow together where they ended on module 2101 to create two chains (lock and unlock) leading to each door. Then connect the green/black wire from the 2101 module and the blue/black wire to one of the two wires going to the actuators. Connect the purple/black wire to a constant 12 volt power supply. Strip the brown/black wire and the white/black wire, twist them together and connect them to chassis ground. Follow directions for all other wires. , and white for parking light switching. I haven't used any other cables or features) Then check the system with the key fob. If the lock button opens the doors or the unlock button locks the doors, swap green/black and blue. /black wires. Oh, if you don't want to get locked out after you start the engine and quickly close the door, leave the yellow wire unplugged. As a result, the drive can only be controlled via the key fob on the remote control.
