Quick Fix for Toshiba TV
We have two Toshiba TVs (43L420U and 32L220U) in the bedrooms. Both remote controls naturally had problems a few months after the warranty expired. They will run certain commands, but not all commands. After unsuccessful attempts at troubleshooting (battery packs, touch lenses, etc.), a little research on the Internet revealed that this is a known error in these specific Toshiba models.
