We ordered the smaller of the two available sizes for this rockin' collar. Its length has been reported as 9 to 15 inches, and in the pet industry, collars are measured by the length of the fabric, not including the buckle. This is a well made collar, beautiful but fully stretched, would fit a medium sized chihuahua at best! Our dog's current collar is 15 inches long as I mentioned above. I just reordered a 15-26 inch collar which we were concerned might be too heavy for her at 31lbs. I really hope it fits right. The buyer must be able to rely on the information provided by the manufacturer, especially when it comes to the functionality of the item. it's all about the length. In this case, size really does matter! I will update my review when we get a replacement. What a need to go back and forth. Note to sellers: measure twice so we only have to order once!
