I've worn clip earrings my whole life and have turned LOTS of studs into clip earrings. If you are new to earring conversion, the first thing I should mention is that at the time of writing this review, while the listing says ANY stud or piercing can be converted to clip-on with these converters, this is not the case. Studs that are just studs, don't dangle, and don't have an open loop can't be modified with it. Rivets require a different type of converter. What you CAN do with this is convert any dangling stud earrings, anything that has a jump ring or open loop where the dangling earring is attached with a ring or bow. For this style, these converters work perfectly. The great thing about this type of converter is that if you want to make your clip longer and more dangling, you can add additional connecting rings at will as you convert the earrings. As for the build quality of these converters, they are solid, open and close well, and stay on the earlobe well without falling off. They are very shiny silver in color and have a small loop at the front that can be opened carefully with jewelry or other small pliers to attach the part of the earring to be transformed. So, in terms of functionality and performance, these converters are great. 8 pairs of earrings can be retrofitted with this set.
