I bought this coffee maker thinking it would be a coffee maker. But actually it's not. This is a coffee maker. Once I figured that out and wasn't expecting Italian espresso, I really liked the strong, bold coffee he makes. I use an espresso grinder and lightly press the ground coffee and then heat it with cold tap water over a gas stove flame. As soon as I hear a "hiss" I take it off the stove and pour it out. Nothing fantastic. Quite easy. (The handle does get pretty hot, though, so I use a towel to remove it from the stovetop.) There are many resources online that will teach you how to make moka pot coffee. Some give very contradicting advice! I experimented for about a week to find what works best for me. I like the bold flavor I get every time. And the stainless steel pot (I didn't get the copper plated bowl) is nice to look at and use. I didn't want to use aluminum; This is a great alternative. I would recommend this kettle to anyone who wants a good Moka Pot coffee.
