Small - Fast - Versatile Just what I needed. Buy Dragon Premium separately - don't buy a bundle - you'll be grateful you spent a few extra dollars. My copy of Dragon (from Revain) was the latest version 11.5, even though the page said 11.0. Anyway, it's a free update (download) just in case. Batteries last a long time (batteries aren't included unless you buy the Dragon kit - so what?) Comes with a very handy printed manual - but download a PDF from Sony to find it out to use your computer. The printed manual is great to take with you until you get used to using the SX712. I dictated in Notepad for 15 minutes with about 98% accuracy - I was very surprised. * Buy a Class 4 Micro SD Memory Card (16g is enough for about 100 hours of high-resolution sound [320/mp3])__ Sandisk 16GB 16G Class 4 TF Micro SDHC Memory Card with Micro SD Card Reader - Bulk pack * Buy Sanyo Eneloop AAA rechargeable batteries - they work great - for a number of years - and hold a charge well ) * Buy Headphones__ Computer Koss CS95 Speech Recognition Headset or __ Koss CS100 Speech Recognition Computer Headset * And to top it off, get a switch so you don't have to unplug your speakers when using your headphones __ Plantronics PC Headset Speaker Switch (I have both: Plantronics - my favorite) or __ Audio Speaker/Headset Switch Hub, Manhattan 172851 Comes with Sony's sound Organizer - very handy. a release while you wait for delivery. Please also purchase the manual and read the information about the voice recorder before you buy it. Great product - everything works better than I hoped. (Now if I have a thought or an idea in the middle of the night I can turn on the light and find my pen and paper - well, whatever people say: I have thoughts sometimes)
