Back to basics - just what I wanted

This is exactly the radio I was looking for. No, it's not the one with all the fancy bells and whistles. It actually looks like an old fashioned manual radio I used to have. The problem with remote area auto tuning is that it picks up RF signals, but sometimes the actual voice/music signal can be slightly different if you can't receive that part. Manual tuning allows you to fine-tune the desired voice/music part. I like the sound, there is a speaker both in the back and in the front and it sounds like stereo. In terms of reception, this device picks up stations that I didn't even know because of the weaker signal. This makes it great and I don't even use an extended antenna. That's it, back to basics and easy to use. The weather group works great too, no, it doesn't have an alarm function and such, but when you set up a station you get your weather forecast. Small and fits in your pocket, but overall a great device.

Pros
  • PERFECT SIZE - portable radio that fits easily in your pocket or emergency bag and supports virtually every frequency band: WB: 162.400-162.550MHz, AM: 520-1710kHz, FM: 87 -108MHz,
Cons
  • Poor manual
