So I have to take this to another place in the house (don't send it back) as I can't use it in the bedroom. Even the dim setting is bright. It's almost bright enough for reading. I currently have 2 layers of 36lb thick paper stacked on top to reduce the brightness and I can still see the numbers when it's set to dim. If someone in the room is sensitive to light in the room, don't use it. Get something with better dimming performance or turn on the red LED.
