I used the extra cable to play music from my phone through a Yamaha stereo receiver and also on a 2010 Kia Soul. I craved the freedom to play music from anywhere without being tied to a device. I was looking for a bluetooth receiver to stream music wirelessly. I saw this receiver pop up last week (no reviews, it was brand new) and decided to take a chance. It was a lot cheaper than other more popular receivers and I figured it should work since Bluetooth receivers only do one thing. Well it works very well! This receiver paired quickly with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and I had no problems Connect or stream music to both my Yamaha receiver and my Kia Soul. I found the seller's description of the range of the device (30 feet in an open area with no obstructions) to be accurate enough. I noticed some gaps while working in the kitchen, which is about 30 feet from my living room. Yesterday I tested the calling function in my car and was surprised that the person on the other end of the line could hear me clearly, which I didn't expect from a small Bluetooth receiver. The track skip feature works well too, although I mostly use my phone to skip to the next track. I found a battery life of around 4-5 hours. When charging, however, it works great. which will be very useful during long car journeys. Overall I was very impressed with this little guy. It worked flawlessly and I couldn't be happier. I love the freedom of being unplugged and I can do that. Believe it or not, I've been waiting to buy a bluetooth receiver for so long. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. In fact, I plan on getting another one to use with my Yamaha receiver so I don't have to carry it from the car to the living room and back. Definitely recommend this to a friend.
