Brown Optical Switches With White Illumination

I'm A Tactile Girl But Not A Clicky Blue Switch. I've had a keyboard with red switches for a while and while they're fine, I make a lot of mistakes and it didn't work when playing. Some time ago I got myself a 60% keyboard with brown optical switches to play with and fell in love. For this reason I have chosen the Keychron K4 as my everyday device for work, school and leisure. However, there were a few things that bothered me about this keyboard; height, the keycaps are not PBT, and the small 0 key on the number pad. So, I will detail my main problems. First off, it's a style of keyboards. It is 1.5 inches tall from the bottom to the top of the gap. This is by far the tallest keyboard I've ever used. So if you're planning on getting one, I'd recommend getting a hard palm rest like gel, wood, or something similar. I have an old one that I used and it works like a charm. My fingers don't get tired and I feel it's comfortable enough for me. The keycaps aren't PBT, so you'll likely notice a difference in sound if you're picky like me. However, they are incredibly stable and the font and lighting are top notch. The video clip I added was after I oiled the switches. I forgot to take one before but I think you can find it on YouTube. Another feature of these keycaps is that they tend to become shiny very quickly due to the oil on your fingers. This is a 96% keyboard, so some keys are a different size than a regular 100% keyboard. This can be an issue if you want to buy custom keycaps at an affordable price. When I wrote this review, I only found two manufacturers; One was affordable but with limited choices, the other cost more than a physical keyboard. So keep that in mind. I work in accounting and was concerned that I would have difficulty using the numeric keypad. However, this is not the case. Raising your thumb while typing was just a matter of getting used to it. Overall I love it with all its perfect flaws so I'll leave it as it is and I'll update if anything changes in the future. .
