New favorite recommendation

I have been a professional chef for 5 years now. This is the best set I can recommend in terms of price and performance. The stones are high quality - they don't crumble around the corners unless you're really working with a less than dull blade like I've seen with other sets. The included stand is very good for the price of this kit - I paid twice as much for a stand of this quality as I did for this kit. Even the small details are impressive, as some others have pointed out: the packaging is apple-grade whetstone. . No corners were cut on the items provided - I mean, each brick has its own rubber base, which isn't even necessary unless for some reason you've shared other bricks with other people while using the third one to have. Despite everything, it is there. If you somehow manage to wear one out, you'll have to burn through 2 more. Good. I wish I had had a corner guide when I was learning to sharpen, but it's still nice to have one if I decide to lend it to someone else. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a kit that will cover all the basic needs for the next 5+ years of normal use. You could do better, but whether you're a home cook learning about high-carbon materials and sharpening them, an aspiring chef looking for a kit that won't put you out of a job, or a snobbish ex-chef looking to make your own Ancestors cursed when there are knives. Too complete to chop garlic, this set covers all the basics, with the exception of restoration work on a forgotten piece of steel that certainly bears some resemblance to a knife.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE: Lightweight and very durable, it is very comfortable to hold in your hand without weighing you down. You can also attach it to your desk, the non-slip rubber base makes it safe and secure to use. The green composition (polishing composition) in the form of a large crayon is evenly applied to the surface of the leather belt, this will help to quickly polish the edges of the blade.
