Update: Now that I've used it a little longer, I like this bag more than I expected. The pen holder works well enough and the body is better than I expected. Light weight makes it easy to carry. And it offers more protection than I expected. If I had to carry it back and forth to work or school, I would have liked a more protective case. But I use it at home. If I want to use my tablet on the go, I use my much cheaper Fire Tablet 8 instead. So for my current use, this case is almost perfect. I bought a new iPad 5 mini and needed some sort of case to protect it. Not knowing exactly which case I would choose (I'm thinking a keyboard case) I bought this inexpensive one to use at the same time. And he's wonderful. All the cutouts are in the right places and if it holds the iPad very tightly. - It covers the iPad quite well and protects it from scratches and other damages. - Works well as a stand. But - The plastic armor is thin and not very soft - it feels a little light. Not sure how much fall protection it offers. I really don't want to know! Please understand. This is not a negative review. The case is well made and offers excellent value for money. This is a GOOD case. I'm just not convinced that a cheap case is a good way to protect a fairly expensive iPad.
