Difficult to fill. Mine is dangerous and scary. Both hands and the kitchen burned.

Butane leaks everywhere when you try to fill it up. When I first tried to fill it with butane, the butane kept leaking between the butane bottle and the lighter. My fingers were constantly cold. So I gave up that can and went in search of another brand. The same thing. Apparently it cannot be filled without excessive butane gas leakage. I tried filling it over the kitchen sink by the kitchen window. When I tested it the first time, it didn't work. He wasn't glowing. So I didn't expect it to work the second time around. I had no idea it leaked so much butane trying to refill the lighter. Not believing that the lighter would work and underestimating the butane in the air and sink proved to be a disaster. I flicked on the lighter and flames shot from the bottom of the sink to the kitchen ceiling. I was afraid that the curtains in the kitchen would catch fire and the fire would start from there. When I finally managed to put out the flames, I found that both of my hands were burned. The soap dispenser has melted. The foam bottle brush has melted. And thankfully, the microfiber kitchen towels melted, not burned. I give microfiber towels credit for not spreading flames. If it was cotton instead of microfiber, the kitchen fire would spread. Since the lighter cannot be safely refilled, I have no plans to use it again. Now I need to figure out how to get rid of it safely. Buy another, safer, lighter!
