I ordered these risers to raise our sofa and chair so our cleaning robot could clean underneath more easily. We had no trouble installing them, but we had to use a drill to make holes for the screws. Both pieces of furniture have solid wood legs that are too hard for a screwdriver. After pre-drilling the hole, attaching the risers to the underside of the furniture legs was a breeze. Once the risers were in place, I saw that the robot would no longer get stuck. Although the footpegs aren't very noticeable, which is nice. They also prevent furniture from sliding on the hardwood floor. About every week I've noticed that furniture moves a few inches to the side when people get up and sit down, but that doesn't happen anymore. I need another set for an upholstered chair that's big enough for the robot to ride under but tends to slide when kids flop into it.
