Review on πŸ”§ Spec.-Ops. Better BDU Belt 1.75" Width: The Ultimate Tactical Gear Accessory by Corey Katchem

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It was much better before the change.

I have owned this belt since April 2012 and it has been running for over 3 years now. I mainly use it for everyday wear with a pair of pants I currently have. It supports my waist and back when lifting heavy objects. I also don't have to worry about only having a certain number of holes like with standard straps. It can stay in place and be tightened securely. The reason I gave this product three stars is simply because of the new design. The buckle on this belt gets in the way when sitting or when you prefer to wear a shirt over it. I had absolutely no doubt that the previous version of the buckle was metal as I've never had a problem with metal detectors. The actual material itself is as hard as a board (even after 3+ years of daily use) and a lot thicker than the old ones. This makes it almost impossible to thread through the belt loops, especially with jeans. Although the tag is on the inside of the belt where it is not visible, it is not as clearly visible in advance. Also, at least on the old BBDU belts, the label matched the color of the belt, while this is light yellow and clearly should be trimmed. Overall I will still wear it but won't buy again in the future until they remake it. If I could find something that matches their old belts I would buy them in a heartbeat. Anyway, as the old adage goes, don't fix what ain't broke.

Pros
  • Will not set off metal detectors and is EOD safe Use
Cons
  • Interval
