This product may work well if you have children who throw wet mess on hard floors and need to vacuum it up. When it comes to carpet, it's a waste of time. The suction power isn't strong enough to pick up water and/or detergent from the carpet, so you can empty the entire fresh water tank on the spot and get very little water back. The spray trigger works with a hand pump system, so you don't get a constant flow of water. After spending $99 on it, we stuck it in the back of a closet and went back to getting our full-sized go-anywhere carpet cleaner. Given Black + Decker's reputation, this is a huge disappointment.
