My kitten is 8 months old. I put the clasp on the last hook. She's still trying to chew on the heart and the extra chain hanging down. I'm sure it will stop in a few days. I can't say anything about durability. This is her third collar in 4 months so remains to be seen. But its nice. The stones are bright and appear to be well made. The price is also better than other providers. This particular size is good for small cats. My other cat is 2 years old and fat. The collar, even at its longest, was too tight for his neck. I recommend trying on a plump buttocks. Update: The rhinestones fell out in several places over the week so I sent them back. I hope to find something more durable.
