Summary: I love my Roomba i7+ and based on this experience I have chosen a Braava jet m6 for mopping kitchen, dining and bathroom floors. Unfortunately, the Braava jet m6 doesn't seem to be as smart as its vacuum cousin, often skipping areas and not being able to navigate all but the smallest partition (threshold) rather than carpet. I suggest if your home's layout doesn't meet some very specific criteria (below), let the technology improve for a few years before investing. Full Review: Pros * Cleans hardwood floors and tiles well * Can clean large areas with little cleaner * Works with Roomba vacuums (one-time use, mopping after vacuuming) * Dusting pads + mopping after vacuuming can result in cleaner hardwood floors than just Roomba Cons * The display isn't as good as Roomba's - plus Roomba can't share its map of your home with the Braava jet, it has to create its own (cheesier) map* and can't navigate all but most small partitions - I believe those official documents say it can climb 3mm high thresholds (that's not very high.). There's also a newer feature where you can specify where thresholds should be, basically making it a little harder for the robot to get over, but that didn't help in my situation. area of your home and then carry it back. Nonetheless. * Placing him in an area and hitting the delete button doesn't seem to work that well - he often gets confused and then panics when he can't get back to his base. * Doesn't navigate very well through odd shaped rooms or obstacles. this robot as it exists circa 2021 * house with lots of hardwood/tile floors * very low thresholds between rooms, or ideally no thresholds * no carpet between wooden parts of house * very rectangular rooms with multiple nooks/nooks/corners. Thing is, I just use it to clean my square, mostly obstruction-free dining room that the base is in. He does that pretty well. My kitchen adjoins the dining room and if she could climb over the threshold to clean the kitchen I would be delighted and forgive the limitation of not being able to move across the carpet. As it stands, this technology (mopping robot) is still in beta testing. I suspect they will get much better in the next 3 years or so and suggest most people wait until then.
