Review on 🚰 AQUACREST WHKF GD25BB Compatible with Aqua Pure and Whirlpool by James Eledge

Lower quality than the original

Lower quality than the original The reason these filters cost less than the original filter is because they have fewer filters than the original. I have an unused original 3M Aqua-Pure AP810. filter and I hold it against this Aquacrest filter. Aquacrest has a significantly smaller diameter, much less ribbed surface and half as many fins as Aqua-Pure. This means the filter life will be MUCH shorter so I will have to use more of these cheaper filters than Aqua-Pure. What about the filter quality? I will update this review once I have the Aquacrest filter installed. A year later: I've been using Aquacrest and Aqua Pure filters and switched between them when it came time to change filters. As I said earlier, the Aqua-Pure filter is a larger diameter filter with more ribs which are also deeper, giving the Aqua-Pure more surface area to filter the water. When it comes to filtered water quality, Aqua-Pure HANDS DOWN wins. When I have an Aqua Pure filter installed, the water turns BLUE in a full tub. When I have an Aquacrest filter installed, the water in a full tub is a greener hue. In addition, Aquacrest smells rather metallic in the water. I downgraded the Aquacrest filter from 3 to 2 stars because it is clearly a poor quality product. If you want to improve your water quality, buy Aqua-Pure.
