Speakers are one of those purchases whose price can easily disappoint. The Singing Wood BT25 powered speakers are a fairly inexpensive but great sounding product. Of course, everyone has their own idea of what good sound is. They appear well balanced - not too bright and not too boomy. If you're a bass freak and want to knock windows, this probably isn't for you. They're great for jazz in a small space. I built a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ audio system using GPIO DAC, Volumio software and found these speakers. It's a great combination, especially when you add the Pi Touch's 7-inch display and body. The included remote control is handy and has buttons for power, mute, volume up/down, input select and Bluetooth control. It uses a standard CR2025 coin cell battery (included). Since I connected either input to the Pi, I didn't try the Bluetooth controls. The only downside I noticed is that they always change turn it on in Bluetooth mode and I need to switch them to line 1 input, which is pretty trivial.
