Review on 💡 Normande Lighting Concord Torchiere Lamp: 150-Watt Incandescent, Brushed Steel – Premium Illumination for Any Space by Tiger Carpani

I bought this floor lamp to use in the master bedroom for reading and studying. At the time of writing this review, I've only had it for a few days; However, I am very happy with how it looks and how much light it puts out when using a 150 watt three-way bulb, which is the recommended bulb. You must purchase this bulb separately - it does NOT come with the bulb. I am an elderly woman living alone and assembled this lamp in 15 minutes without any haste. It comes with assembly instructions on a single sheet of paper, which I only skimmed over, mainly to see if the black bushings were needed in the final assembly process. They are not needed. You basically start at the base and work your way up to the top of the lamp. The four metal pole pieces are in the correct order when removed from the foam packaging as the power cord runs through them from the top lamp socket to the heavy base. After removing and discarding any black plastic grommets, start at the base and screw in the first pole segment, then thread the power cord through the already attached pole and base to take up any slack before screwing in the second pole segment. . Continue in this manner until all parts are fully assembled. I found the instructions helpful and detailed enough to easily assemble this floor lamp. The lamp parts were well packaged for shipping, preventing the metal parts from being scratched or otherwise damaged during shipping, even after throwing the box (and they often do - I've worked with three top operators and experienced this many times ). I can't say anything about the durability of the light switch at the top of the lamp at the moment. After reading a review that said it broke after a few months of use, I decided to plug it into an outlet, which allowed me to turn off the lamp with my bedroom wall switch. This should help with the wear of the lamp switch itself. I have attached a photo of the lamp switch which has three detents to adjust the brightness of the three position lamp. If you need smooth, stepless brightness control (dimmer), then this lamp is not for you. Overall I am very happy with this floor lamp and would recommend it to friends and family on a budget. .
