I needed a cable to replace my old PC with a GTX 580. I don't know why a cable stops working, this has never happened to me. This caused a lot of headaches at first when I tracked down the issue as I assumed the cable was still fine and for some reason my monitor wasn't automatically switching sources. Anyway, my card doesn't support HDMI 2.0, but it will fit an HDMI 2.0 4K TV. So I ordered it just in case. I also tried this on my LG C9 OLED and I got a signal on my TV. The GTX 580 doesn't support 4K output, so obviously that doesn't work, but I could get 1080P. It's a cheap cable, fairly cheaply made, but it does the job.
