Review on Fiebings Yellow Saddle Soap Oz by Colleen Bolden

For cleaning leather bags, shoes and car leather. Leaves any item cleaner and leather items softer. Automotive leather is not like shoes or bags. It's mostly coated leather, with faux leather on "untouchable" surfaces. Coated leather has a coating similar to a clear coat on top of lacquer. Saddle soap cleans the surface; Nothing inside gets clean because the coating stops it. It also stops dirt and other liquids, so who cares? Don't tell anyone but I've also used it on suede and it didn't go bad. (I then used a suede cleaner/conditioner and the shoe came out perfect.) Has a clean, soapy smell. I used a damp kiwi horsehair brush and rubbed it over the soap's wet surface to lather it up. Then I used the brush on the items I was cleaning. Wipe clean with a microfiber cloth. It is combed with a dry brush after the product dries. Nice.
