Review on Zalman Z3 Iceberg Premium Gaming Computer Case with RGB Fans and Tempered Glass Side Door in White by Samuel Blakeley

Very happy with this unique Zalman case

This is my second purchase of a Zalman case in the last year and I have to say I really like their cases. They're almost always incredibly cheap compared to the quality you're getting. For example, this Z3 Iceberg (I bought Black) is very well made. It's very strong, I was surprised by the heaviness of the rear sidewall. They're usually pretty flimsy at this price point, this one was on par with my Cooler Master Master box, solid and heavy. Profit for the price they sell so I'm fine with no things like cable channels on the back along the motherboard tray, the glass door isn't magnetic but I like the look of these with the black steel edging. It's designed to slide in and out of your back easily and does it very well. There's also plenty of room behind the motherboard tray for easy cable management, as well as plenty of room for a full-size power supply. You can mount 2 x 3.5" HDDs in the mounting area next to the PSU, which I did, along with the SSD mounted on the other side of the case. As for airflow, if you're worried about airflow? The design of the front panel is very smart and when it's wanted I'm very pleased. The geometric design is such that the case rises and falls at right angles, which ultimately allows for even more air volume and the panel allows the fans to breathe easily. I turned on the AIO and barely heard it until the graphics card fans kicked on. Without the front panel, it's the same case you use for more than one case, you just change the front panel. What if you want to make it a feature? You can buy a case that comes with a faceplate, but you can buy others to change the look or to personalize your computer. What do you think?

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Long wait
