It leaked so badly there was virtually no water pressure in the shower head

Have an 18 year old Waterpik flexible neck shower head that still works. I decided to replace it because cosmetically it was starting to show its age. 05/23/18 installed a new shower head. It was leaking so badly that there was almost no water pressure from the shower head. Check all installation instructions. The replacement showerhead was installed correctly. I took off the shower head and found that the rubber washer that goes over the water filter cartridge wasn't seated properly. A defective rubber washer means that the threads on the shower head and the threads on the water pipe are not properly connected. I called the Waterpik service center. Described the problem and asked for a new gasket. I was told that I would need to send a copy of my order and a picture of the defective part before they could determine if the part was under warranty. A hard-to-handle guarantee isn't a guarantee, it's just a few words written on paper. Waterpik just lost a customer for a rubber disc that will probably cost him 5 cents.

Pros
  • Manufacturers lifetime warranty
Cons
