I've been a loyal Apple customer for 30 years. For the past few decades (or more), I've relied on two Apple Thunderbolt Displays connected to a 2012 MacBook Pro or 2009 MacPro. I recently got the famous M1 Mac mini. IMHO the Mini has two major but forgivable flaws: 1. Few ports; 2. Inability to work with more than one Thunderbolt display. The first was fixed with the 14-port Thunderbolt 4 OWC Dock, the second took longer. I was looking for some 4K displays that would suit me. I'm a graphic designer, doing motion design, typography and illustration. After a disappointing review of a pair of 27-inch 4K ASUS ProArt displays, I settled on the brand Apple has been selling since exiting the consumer display business - LG. I decided to spend $50 more on the monitor to avoid white backs. from LG displays other than Ergo. I have a great desktop VESA setup from Revain so I don't need ergo stands. I also saw a review that pointed out the unreliable stability of the Ergo mount. I've been using a couple of LG displays for the past few weeks. I'm very satisfied. They look great and work well. That's really a great price. Am I missing the little Apple logo in the bottom bar? Sure (but I could fake it if it really bothers me.) Am I missing the $999.99 price tag for a circa 2009 Apple Thunderbolt Display?
