The stuff worked great. It's thinner than I expected but works well. I'm 68 years old and if I can replace a door seal, anyone can. I chipped off the old cement after removing the old cable guide. I used a flathead screwdriver and a metal brush. Then I wiped all the dust off the door with a wet rag. I re-wet the sealant canal and pushed thinner than expected cement over the entire canal. Then I somehow made sure it spread well with my finger. I used the required 7/8 inch rope and started at the top left section, went down and attached the tape to keep it in place as I walked. When I finished the door I had about a foot of rope left. I cut it off, a tiny bet, and glued the two ends together with some cement. The cement is black to match the black graphite rope I used. I forced the door shut to make sure it was sealed properly. Then I opened it up, left it open for an hour, then turned on the pellet stove for about an hour. The next morning I started as usual.
