You can then "key in" the desired units of measurement such as RF Field Strength or Magnetic Field. The menu button then switches back to the last used counter reading: EF, MF or RF. The three buttons are also labeled as such to make it easier to switch between them. EF only reads in V/m, and that's fine. Since I bought this meter primarily for RF measurements, it's like having four meters in one, with two horizontal bar graphs that update constantly, plus a vertical time flow bar graph that displays readings for the last 30 seconds in analog bars and of course digital display counters for instantaneous readings up to four digits. I was surprised to hear a beep as the readings switched from microwatts/square meter to milliwatts per square meter, with all three bar graphs turning red instead of green or yellow. This is very useful for identifying hotspots in front of computers, modems and, to a lesser extent, smart meters. The HOLD button is an optional feature that is useful, for example, when photographing high values. The calibration certificate makes this meter reliable when using readings in the publication and therefore slightly better than the others.
