Received these connectors within a day of ordering. Generally, I was able to connect the ends of outdoor Cat 6 cable to these connectors. It took me two tries (and wasted connections) before I figured it out. The key for me was removing 2-3 inches of the outer casing from the Cat 6 cable. I then had to straighten the strand of each wire. Once the wires were pulled out and straightened, I could start inserting them into the connector. On the third try, I figured out the process. Straightening each individual wire also makes it easier to insert all of the wires into the connector so that the cable jacket can be properly crimped into the connector. I was able to crimp the wires with a Trendnet crimping tool. It remains to carefully cut off the excess wire from the end for the connector. To do this I used a sharp office knife and very carefully cut off the ends of the wires. Despite the success, I wouldn't do this if I had to connect a lot of cables. I would buy a special crimping tool that cuts the ends of the wires. But for me it didn't seem worth buying another crimping tool for the random ethernet cables I need to make. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for this product. It works out. This requires some practice and patience.
