FIRST CLASS SERVICE AND FIRST CLASS PRODUCTS!

I bought these plugs by mistake thinking they had a separate insert. Well I'm very happy with my mistake. These plugs are just a dream. The seller is also a dream. I mistakenly commented that I was asking about the ones with inserts and he pointed out that I misread the ad. I did and he still refunded me despite my determined resistance. SO END YOUR SEARCH AND BUY IT NOW. I'm 63 and consider myself very tech savvy and interested in mechanics, but I couldn't get the other ports to work. It is so

Great connectors but cutting wire ends is difficult without the perfect tool

Received these connectors within a day of ordering. Generally, I was able to connect the ends of outdoor Cat 6 cable to these connectors. It took me two tries (and wasted connections) before I figured it out. The key for me was removing 2-3 inches of the outer casing from the Cat 6 cable. I then had to straighten the strand of each wire. Once the wires were pulled out and straightened, I could start inserting them into the connector. On the third try, I figured out the process. Nice concept but the old way is better

An update since I last wrote (see original post below). I have since learned that you need a special crimping tool. The original crimping tool I have can still crimp these through connectors, but they won't cut the wires either. They cut the wires in a separate motion, either before or after crimping. So I only added one star to my original rating. It is no higher than three stars for several reasons: first, the manufacturer should more clearly understand the need for a new crimping tool…
