Review on ๐Ÿค Enhance Your Grip with Gripper(TM) 200 Advanced System - Superior 1/8" Precision by Damon Atonyo

Confident, safe, precise and secure cut.

I've been thinking about buying a GG gripper for a few months now. It seemed to me like a felted chisel box most of the time; really nice but without sacrificing the quality of the work. It seemed like it would be too difficult to adapt to what I often do as an amateur. That was until I got a kickback on my table saw. Not an accident in the emergency room, but a graze in the pit of my stomach that I was painfully aware of for days. This put an end to my hesitation and soon began a whole new approach to using equipment safely, be it a table saw, band saw or jointer. I bought a version of the Gripper that included a 1/8" bit and I used this feature for the first time today by using 5/16" maple drawer slides with 5/16" between blade and stop, a facility I would never do. I tried it without the secure grip that the gripper provides. This arrangement provides accurate, repeatable results that cannot be easily achieved by adjusting the backstop between each cut. Otherwise, I use the gripper every time I use a stop. I am confident that I am safer and my woodworking accuracy has greatly improved. I'm considering a second GG gripper so I can handle longer rips with more confidence. I have found that a few passes over the bottom rubber with a thin brass wire brush is great for restoring grip strength that has been lost over time due to sawdust. Being used to reaching, changing settings really doesn't pose a problem and adds far less time to my projects than ER visits and healing time. I lost my fingertip at an accident repair shop a few years ago (not woodworking) I won't lose my fingers again through careless handling of the machine.
