Haven't used it yet as I'm bringing home a new puppy on a Southwest Airlines flight in December. However, it is easier to fold and then close for storage. The construction of the kennel appears to be high quality, with metal latches rather than plastic latches. The bottom insert has a thin board covered with a plush mat that I think would be sturdier for puppy comfort. Although I was told I couldn't take the pup out of the kennel, he is small and light enough that I can hold him on my lap during flight. I love the fact that there are three ways to put the puppy in the kennel and take the puppy out of the kennel. Overall I think it is a very good product at a very reasonable price.
