Apparently used they had 2 hair ties on them. I have sanitized them and found that they appear sharp enough and cut well. In all honesty, the least a person can do when returning a used item is to make sure it's clean. However, honestly, I don't think health and beauty products should be returned and/or the seller should check their quality before reselling. I give the product a decent rating because it is a quality pair of scissors, but the seller will get a bad rating from me if they are selling a clearly used item.
