I'm a man and originally bought this for my girlfriend who absolutely hates shaving. For some reason she never really liked it, but I've been using it on myself for a while now because I have patchy body hair that I think looks better when it's removed. I'm ghostly pale (perfect for that) but my hair isn't super dark either (less than perfect) so I wasn't sure what results to expect. I only shave once a week so I would shave and then use the product immediately to try to permanently remove the hair from that area. I've been doing this weekly for almost 3 months and after the first 2 weeks it became apparent that my hair was thinning and I was over the moon. At the end of 3 months my hair had barely grown back and I thought I would never have to shave again. However, over time, the hair slowly began to grow back. I stopped treatment to see how many would eventually grow back, hoping at least some of them would be gone forever. However, to my chagrin, after a few months almost all of the hair came back and you couldn't even tell I had used the product at all. I repeated this cycle two more times over the course of about a year and both times the hair disappeared completely for a few months but eventually returned completely as well. In the non-growing hair period, not shaving was a huge plus, and from an aesthetic point of view, I appreciated the lasting look rather than the constant hair growth over the course of a week. The amount of extra time I had to spend applying the product each week as the hairs came in basically canceled out any effort I had saved during the months I didn't have to shave. At least for me it wasn't worth the trouble and I almost stopped using this product.
