Not perfect, but inexpensive solution.

I purchased this cloth to provide overhead shade on a pergola. I found the price appealing since my search for high-end fabrics from manufacturers like Sunbrella yielded much higher costs. Also, I chose this fabric b/c it provided the perfect length roll for my application, 8ft x 50ft. Unfortunately, for this size roll the only two color choices were beige or green (I was looking for white). The biggest downfall (and disappointment) for this product is that it arrives folded in half. Therefore…

Perfect! Exactly what I was looking for!

Perfect shade for my small yard! Helps the artificial grass from being hot in the direct sunlight. My grandkids can still walk outside with bare feet. Also keeps them out of the sun when in the little pool. I got the brown color and perfect for my yard. plus the attached west facing dining room and sliding door also benefits from the shade. My home feels cooler in the evenings

Pros
  • Protection: Up to 95% UV stabilized 180 GSM polyethylene, Blockage on 75% rate, cut edge.
Cons
  • Easily torn

Brown Sunblock Shade Cloth 85% UV Block 6ftx50

Our dog run used to have a tree to shade it, but the tree was cut down because it had died. This made the area incredibly harsh and glaring and hotter than ever! We put up the shade cloth to shade the area where the tree used to. It casts a good dark shade and cutting the ultraviolet radiation by 95% will be more healthful. The fabric is much darker color than I thought it would be, but brown is lighter than black. The ends don't fray, and 50ft was enough to make 2 shades for us. I think we'll…

Pros
  • Like the texture, color and value
Cons
  • Not fire-resistant

Really blocks the sun!

I used this product to lay over my pergola, which has rows of 2 inch slats about every two inches. As it turns out, that is not enough to block the sun in Phoenix AZ. So, I laid this shade cloth over the entire area, which is about 16 feet by 24 feet. Had to use three 8x16 foot panels to do the job. Wow, what a difference it makes.Only thing left to know is how long will the cloth last! Feels rugged enough, but the AZ sun takes it toll on everything. I'll update this review.hopefully many years

Pros
  • Warranty: Specialized fabric is stain resistant and will not fade, with 1-year limited warranty.
Cons
  • Not weatherproof

Great Fabric Shade!

The shade fabric looks really nice. I was hesitant at first to order it because I really wanted to see the fabric in person but that was not possible. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. It is a cream and white weave. It is not a cloth fabric it is more like a plastic fabric you would see on a outdoor summer chair. My husband cut in to the sizes that we needed for our pergola. He weaved it in and out to create a pattern. We can sit under the pergola on a nice sunny day and be protected…

Pros
  • Blocks up to 95% of the sun's heat, reducing energy costs
Cons
  • Unattractive color

Good So Far best in my review

The fabric blocks the light enough so that there is nice shade but it still lets a little through. For instance, if you look up at the sun it is bright enough to hurt your eyes. I used my pressurized staple gun to attach it to my shade shelter and it seems to have worked really well. I won't really know until this winter when big rain and wind storms come through. I'll also have to wait and see how well the fabric holds up through the elements over the nex year or two. My only complaint right…

Pros
  • Provides maximum protection against harmful UV rays
Cons
  • Not suitable for windy conditions

Good, Durable Stuff

Good price for a very durable fabric that works as promised. Some of the same quality fabric has been in use as a privacy screen on my house for the past 20+ years without unraveling or tearing, so I'd say the UV-resistance is about as good as it gets. I don't use if for shade, but for privacy the degree of opacity depends on where the light is coming-from, i.e. when it's back-lit you can see through it but not clearly. When the light is coming from the front you cannot see through it.

Pros
  • Made with high-quality materials for long-lasting durability
Cons
  • Attracts insects

Lasts about 4 - 5 Years of punishing conditions (good!)

Although I now need to replace my shadecloth after about 4 years of use, I am okay with that record given that it was exposed to full-all-day Central Arizona sun and frequent and punishing winds. The cloth was draped over a water tank and so not extended (as in a shade-roof) but rather as a draped "blanket". But it was southern facing with well over 325 days/year of full sun. So, for the price, and the conditions, I'm quite pleased. I also just noticed that i could be a 7$ 5 year extended…

Pros
  • I guess you get what you pay for. It's ok, but I had to use 2 layers to get the intended effect.
Cons
  • Hard to clean

This is 95%. - my new review

This is for a privacy fence. We wove it into an iron fence. It holds up about 3 years in the Arizona sun. Not weather-resistant.

Pros
  • Used at my outdoor bar for afternoon sun and it works great.
Cons
  • Not weather-resistant

Works well for a pergola cover

Worked well for a sun block on our pergola and doesn’t trap water - no water pooling. It can also be sewed with a normal machine if you want to loop the edges for a bar insert.

Pros
  • Provides a shaded area for children to play without fear of sunburn
Cons
  • Low-quality material

Great naterial good for me

Loved this I was skeptical at first because we needed to cut down the width on two pieces but it cut perfect it did not come apart. It has cut down the heat on the concrete so much and when it rains it still comes through but like drips. It’s a great product true color , just an easy material to work with keeps sun out, reduces the heat factor. Would definitely recommend this to friends

Pros
  • Patio Furniture & Accessories
Cons
  • Slows down wind flow

It seems to be made of quality materials but the description is false and.The piece does not have reinforced corners nor does it have steel fittings (whatever those are). In fact, the outer edges were just frayed ends. The packaging was mediocre and it's amazing it wasn't damaged in transit as it was only wrapped it plastic, no box at all. Also it has lots of weird sections (maybe 2" square) where it appears to have been repaired or oddly stitched. I kept it and used it because of a…

Pros
  • Provides a cool and comfortable space for pets and livestock
Cons
  • Not soft to the touch

I love the color so I thought I would try it out.

I was a little nervous ordering this fabric after reading the reviews. Let’s see how long it will hold up in the Arizona sun on my gazebo. I’ll be back to update my review in a couple years because it sounds like that’s as long as it’s going to last. My last sunscreen curtains I made from Big box store and they lasted eight years so we shall see I kind a have my doubts. I love the color so I thought I would try it out.

Pros
  • Provides shade without obstructing airflow
Cons
  • Not ideal for pets

Best fabric available for privacy

This fabric is perfect for adding privacy to an existing fence. It allows some airflow while blocking the abiltiy to identify people or things on the other side. Especially great to add privacy to a pool area. This is the fabric only, and does not come with grommets, yet the fabric is strong enough to be stapled to posts securely.

Pros
  • Shade from Sun
Cons
  • Not waterproof

Sun covering and shading

Looks really nice, shades most of the sun and makes the pergola area much cooler during the day. Used for top and sides. Hard to fold.

Pros
  • Comes with a 3-year limited warranty
Cons
  • Hard to fold

Real nice material go work with

Real nice material go work with. I used the 80' black woven polypropylene string with the plastic needle to secure it. It does have some wrinkles, but you can get most of them out by adding opposing tension to the fabric. I does stretch a little bit, but I suggest not applying to much pressure. You won't rip the material, you will just pull it and possibly create an elongated hole where the string is. I highly suggest buying it for privacy or a break from the sun. The edges are woven by means…

Pros
  • Made with eco-friendly materials that are safe for the environment
Cons
  • No grommets for easy hanging

Very durable, does not fade

Although I have had to replace the section used for a vertical wall twice over 8 years, both times it was due to rising water causing flowing debris to flow through the fabric. It does not fade, puts up with strong winds and blocks the sun. If it floods again, I will replace it with the same material.

Pros
  • Windscreen4less
Cons
  • Not UV resistant

Not beige! in my review

So I see why this was discounted close out, IT WAS NOT BEIGE, it was more like a wheat yellow…. Which is NOT BEIGE, not even close.

Pros
  • Multifunctional Overhead Cover: For summer outdoor shading, applicable for livestock housing, poultry buildings, greenhouses, hoop structures, barns, kennels, canopies, carports, porches, and more.
Cons
  • Prone to mildew

You might not get as ordered, but still good product.

We ordered this roll a few times to cover our newly constructed pergola with shade cloth. The first time it was good but the second time it came as two 25 foot rolls instead of the 50' we ordered. I emailed customer service and they weren't helpful in resolving the issue, just said their warehouse must have subbed out our order, but we made the 25 foot work for our application. Annoying to get what was described but for the price, I didn't keep fighting with them. Like the quality and the…

Pros
  • Provides privacy while still allowing natural light to filter through
Cons
  • Not easy to print custom designs on

AWESOME SUNSCREEN! EXCELLENT BUY.

Awesome sunscreen. We put on the very hot, heavy sun side of our screened in porch.Measure area carefully and order closest size over that. We received more than we ordered and that came in handy.😊 Get out the staple gun and install. Easier with two people. It will shrink a little, so no need to go crazy, I.e. don't stretch too tight when putting up. We bought some inexpensive lathe, painted it color of our house trim and put over edges to make a more finished look. Easy to do. (The dark green

Pros
  • Comes with all necessary hardware for easy installation
Cons
  • Wears out easily
