These things are a lot more expensive at big hardware stores. They're cheap, but they're just a little bit plastic. What else do you need? We've gone from standard ceiling fans with built in controls to newer DC motor fans controlled only by a portable wireless remote control. It's a little disappointing to drop such an elegant solution, but we were left with a dead controller/dimmer element in the wall that is no longer used and we thought it would be confusing for visitors and guests. So I removed those switches (hire a wizard if you don't like the task) and replaced them with these stubs. And voila!
