This model has a lot more bells and whistles than the model that costs $200 more; However, this also means that there are some compromises. Firstly, this is the number of connectors, of which there are three: 2 - HDMI 2.01 - data cable 1.4 (included). The above may not be enough for some users, and the HDMI switches may not be fast enough to handle the speed this monitor can handle. I emphasize this because older HDMI cables and switches may not work with this display. If your computer emits a 144Hz signal, an HDMI 1.0 or even 1.2 cable most likely won't work. Finally, you may need to upgrade your HDMI cable if that's your connection option. The next downside is that the field of view isn't as robust as high-end monitors. The optimal field of view is no more than 30 degrees from the center, further - the image quality deteriorates significantly. It's only a 32-inch display, but if others are in the room they might have trouble seeing the image. To be honest I can't tell if different game settings improve overall performance for different types of games, but it does make the screen brighter for things like FPS. Finally, I recommend purchasing a mini power strip, typically 9-12 inches, to actually connect the monitor to a power source. The current transformer is part of the plug and, due to its size, takes up three slots on the power strip. It's just bad design and that's why I always keep some short cables to circumvent this very common problem.
