Review on Eveready 4-Pack LED Tactical Flashlights: Rugged, Bright Lights with IPX4 Water Resistance by Michael Boyle

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not exactly accurate, full disclosure of the description!

In the description of these flashlights they are referred to as "tactical" flashlights. For those of us who know what a "real" tactical light is, they are NOT the same. These are inexpensive devices that put out some light and I'd be very surprised if they put out anything close to 300 lumens (I have a real 180 lumen tactical flashlight and it's a lot brighter than these lights). These lights project a square bright spot shaped like an LED that emits light. Also, the description does not say about all 3 (three) modes of operation (bright, dim, flashing). The most frustrating part is that the light doesn't "remember" your last brightness setting and next time you turn it on it will project the NEXT of the 3 settings in order. You will need to reselect the brightness you selected the last time you used the light. You can gently press the power button to go to the next selection. The ONLY reason I gave these lights 3 stars is because they are cheap, give off light, work well for glove box lighting and are too hassle to return for a fraction of the $18 purchase price. I wasn't expecting a "tactical" flashlight, but I bought it on purpose because they did NOT advertise three modes of operation or the fact that they automatically switch between modes whether you like it or not. Remember: the description doesn't say everything!
