This is an overview of USB 3.0 32GB 5 Pack. But not the USB 2.0 drives, which are also featured in this product list. Flash drives are mostly mass-produced, so I look for performance and price. I wanted my IT practice to use a set of different colored discs to carry around different boot tools, including different versions of portable Windows. This package was exactly what I needed and serves my purpose very well. I tested CrystalDiskMark on one of these via a USB 3.0 port on my laptop. Sequential reads were just under 110MB, which is about 2.5x what I get from a USB 2.0 drive, so USB 3.0 performance for sure. Random reads were less than 1/20th of sequential reads at around 5.5MB. Writes for sequential and random writes were *much* slower than reads. So what does that mean in my assessment of the "real world”? These drives basically read files sequentially. Once created, they are widely read and very little written. In other words, they are well suited to my technical needs. Other uses where they can come in handy are storing or backing up music or photos when you write once, or when you add more media and read more than you write. These aren't the fastest USB 3.0 drives I've owned. a little. There are some very fast flash drives out there! But speed usually comes at a price, and they're very cheap for 32GB USB 3.0 drives. The design is typical of economical flash drives, which is not bad. I expect them to withstand many, many connections and disconnections. In summary, value and low price are important to me, they give me everything I'm looking for. If you're looking for a good drive at a low price, this might be a good choice. If super-fast flash storage is your priority and you're willing to spend more, then maybe not. Because they hit the mark for me, I'm giving this 5-pack of flash drives 5 stars.
