First off, that's a really smart idea. It was packaged very nicely. This is a smooth bamboo wood that looks great when you take it out of the box. The first big problem was that the extra USB ports didn't work. That's the main reason I'm returning it. The second reason is the placement of the wires. You just end up with a mess of cables on your desk. The watch charger fits very comfortably in the cut out slot. I have two different watch straps. With a strap, it sits very well on the charger. With my velcro it doesn't sit flush so the charger keeps popping out of the slot to connect to the watch. You then have to run the cable to the USB on the back (which as I said doesn't work, or hang it over the end of the table and have another USB port somewhere else so it can be charged. The phone's charging cable will just another cable placed on the table behind the device and the slot that goes through the device is cut for the end of the old firewire charger, not this new, thinner version, so it does it every time You unplug your phone, falls through the slot....the USB ports on the back worked, I was able to exit them and find a way to make the cables less messy...which were already there, so you had to get the device just plug it in and it worked.
