I wanted to give it four stars because I really enjoy using this teacup and find it to be much easier and less time consuming to use than my full size kettle. However, I have to give the cover three stars, which is so frustrating. No matter how many times I think I put the lid on correctly, it always turns out to be wrong one way or another and the jar leaks. (I once let my tea cool a little and found it was only two-thirds full - and I prefer to pour it as close to the top as possible, so I was shocked and puzzled as to why a puddle and whatnot on the counter and on the floor.) I even tried removing and rotating the cushion in the lids (as instructed in the instructions) but nothing helped and the jar is still leaking. I find it frustrating to check that the lids are properly closed as the only way to do this is to shake a glass filled with boiling hot water over the sink and more often than not my fingers get caught in said boiling water , because it's never seated properly no matter how I tried (and I often re-do both lids before thinking about pouring water). The lid, especially the one that attaches to the brewer, also always looks crooked when I put it on, so it's hard to tell if it's installed correctly or not.
