Have been using this mount for about a week. It sits on a moderately textured vertical section of the center console and sticks like glue! It was moved several times to find the right place and it didn't leave any marks or damage the surface. I first tried it on a smooth, flat surface, which wasn't a very good spot, and it took "two men and a boy" to take it off! But again, no damage or residue! It also keeps the phone secure on the dirt roads I often ride on. It's easily adjustable so finding the right spot is easy! Overall a great purchase!
