One day I noticed what I thought were snails moving around the front glass of my 55 gallon community aquarium. Upon further examination, the wriggling snails were in fact small bristle-nosed catfish, more than eighty baby loricariids. I needed additional structures for the new catfish, so I bought one of the plecoceramic hatcheries and added it to my tank. The nest box looked good and I had no problems, I liked it so much that I bought two more nest boxes. These cavities are just the right size for bristle-like nasal creases, I'm not sure about larger creases. Ever since I added these caves I've been in white nose lines up to my ears. Highly recommend and they look good.
