Review on Giro Fixture MIPS Bike Helmet by Brandon Show

First of all I would like to thank Giro for a fantastic product that saved my life today. I live in Tucson, Arizona and went mountain biking with two of my buddies today. Today we rode the famous mountain bike trail called Bug Springs on Mount Lemon here in Tucson. This trail is very rocky and technical. I took a bad trajectory early in the ride, which sent me flying over the steering wheel. As I fell, I saw that I was about to fall headfirst onto a large rock planted with rocks. All I could do was twist my neck and hope for the best. Upon landing, I immediately shouted "I'm fine" to my riding partners as they ran towards me. Then I got up to show them I wasn't hurt. I took off my Giro Fixture helmet and saw that my visor and sunglasses were broken. My companions and I stood amazed that I hadn't been hurt more. I then looked at the Giro Fixture helmet and found that the hard shell was splintered and the core was cracked in several places. Then I looked at the rock I had landed headfirst on and immediately thought that without this helmet I would definitely die. I was able to pack my gear and complete the trip. For the rest of the day we could only talk about the crazy crash I was in and how Giro's helmet saved me. The Giro helmet won a lifelong customer today from me and two other riders who saw me crash. I was able to walk away with minor scratches on my arm and face which is a testament to the superb construction of the Giro Fixture helmet.
